Built at the end of the 18th century and popularly known as “the fortress of hunger”, established as a Museum at the initiative of César Manrique in 1975, who oversaw its restoration. It is organized on two floors, on the top floor you will find the museum collection, the Canarian Artists room and the Lasso Room (dedicated to the Lanzarote artist Pancho Lasso) and on the ground floor you can visit the temporary showroom and amaze with the lovely restaurant/coffee place with ashtonishing views of the main harbour and marina in Arrecife.
Recommended duration of the visit: 60 minutes. Tickets valid for 90 days from the date of purchase. People with reduced mobility can access part of the premises.
