Short North tour in private (half day)

Discover at your own pace this private excursion with our guide, who will introduce you to the most charming places in the north of Lanzarote. Departure from your accommodation or from the Cruise Port. We will head north and visit two of the four Art, Culture and Tourism Centers (CACT) located in this area (see combinations below). If you are not familiar with them, we will help make your choice easier with a brief description (below). You may also visit an Aloe Vera plantation at the Aloe Vera Museum (optional and free of charge).

If you are not familiar with the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers in the North, here is a brief description.

Jameos del Agua, considered by many as the eighth wonder of the world. It was the first major work of César Manrique in Lanzarote. This volcanic cave of undeniable beauty is home to a unique blind, albino crab found nowhere else on Earth. Visitors walk approximately 300 meters through the volcanic tunnel formed by the eruptions of the Corona Volcano, where art and nature merge in perfect harmony.

The Cueva de los Verdes (Greens´Cave), a cave of extraordinary beauty that features an indescribable and unique landscape, also formed by the eruptions of the Corona Volcano. About 1 kilometer can be explored, passing through two overlapping volcanic tunnels. Unlike Jameos del Agua, this cave has remained almost in its natural state thanks to the intervention of Jesús Soto.

The Mirador del Río, integrated into the Risco de Famara, offers breathtaking views of this imposing cliff, the island of La Graciosa, and the narrow strait known as the “Río” that separates it from Lanzarote. From here, you can admire the rest of the Chinijo Archipelago from a spectacular perspective. It is César Manrique’s most seamlessly integrated architectural work.

The Cactus Garden, located in the village of Guatiza, where prickly pear plantations were once used to cultivate cochineal for natural dye production. This inspired what would become César Manrique’s last major work. The garden impresses visitors with its originality and with the thousands of cactus and succulent species from all over the world it houses.

You can choose one of the following combinations to visit the sites that interest you most:

1. Jameos del Agua and Mirador del Río.
2. Jameos del Agua and Cactus Garden.
3. Cueva de los Verdes and Mirador del Río.
4. Cueva de los Verdes and Cactus Garden.
5. Cactus Garden and Mirador del Río.

Finally, we will return to the pick-up point.
