OVERVIEW
Departure from Costa Teguise, Arrecife, Puerto del Carmen, Puerto Calero, and Playa Blanca to Teguise, the former capital of Lanzarote, where a panoramic view will take place to explore its historical value and traditional architecture.
We will continue to Guatiza having a look at the prickly pear plantations where the cochineal used as natural dye was cultivated. It inspired the last land art work of the famous artist César Manrique, the Cactus Garden. This garden is impressive for its originality and for the thousands of cacti and succulent plants from all over the world that it houses inside. During the trip we will also stop at the Aloe Vera Museum.
From there we will go to the Cueva de los Verdes* a cave of undoubted beauty that includes an indescribable and totally different landscape, formed by volcanic eruptions. We will have lunch in picturesque Haría, where we can enjoy a wonderful view of a beautiful palm grove, known as “The Valley of a Thousand Palms”. Stop for lunch in Haría. From there we will head getting through the village of Maguez and skirting the Corona Volcano towards the viewpoint Mirador del Río, situated on the impressive Famara Cliff. From a spectacular perspective, we can observe a stunning view of the island of La Graciosa and the “river” that separates it from Lanzarote, as well as being able to admire the rest of the Chinijo Archipelago.
Return to the pick-up points between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM depending on the tourist resort.
ITINERARY
- Short, low-difficulty walks on foot (some stairs in the Cueva de los Verdes).
- Visit the Cactus Garden.
- Visit to the Aloe Vera museum.
- Visit to the Cueva de los Verdes.
- Lunch (optional) in Haría where we will also observe the beautiful palm grove, known as "The Valley of a Thousand Palms".
- Visit to Mirador del Río integrated into the Risco de Famara, from where we can observe the island of La Graciosa.
- Return to the pick-up points between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM depending on the tourist resort.
